　　1949年中华人民共和国成立后，戚继光研究向纵深发展，研究领域不断扩展，
达到了一个较高的水平。具体可分为两个阶段，即50年代至60年代前期、70年代后
期至今。其间“文化大革命”时期，正常的研究被迫停顿下来。
