    １９８５年７月３１日至８月３日，新加坡东亚哲学研究所主办了“儒家
伦理研讨会”，日本、美国、台湾、香港等地２０名学者应邀出席会议。会议
就儒家思想与科学和民主、“利”的价值观与经济发展以及现代社会中儒家伦
理对陶冶品性的作用等问题展开了讨论。杜维明、蔡仁厚、吕武世等在大会上
作了演讲。
