    遣官致祭即皇帝派遣官员为代表祭祀先圣先贤，一般是派遣官
员到京师国子监致祭，有时也遣官到曲阜孔庙致祭。遣官到曲阜致祭，始于东
汉建武五年（公元２９年）光武帝刘秀过阙里，遣大司空宋弘致祭。北魏皇兴
二年（４６８年），献文帝派中书令高允至鲁以太牢祀孔子。唐、宋、金三朝
很少遣官致祭，元末惠宗遣官致祭最为频繁，每隔几年即进行一次。明、清两
代遣官致祭也很少，明弘治十二年（１４９９年）、清雍正二年（１７２４年
）为孔庙遭受火灾事曾派官慰祭。
