    孔子删《诗》、《书》，定《礼》、《乐》，系《周易》，作《春秋》，弟子将孔子生前言行汇编成《论语》，相传子思作《中庸》，中国儒家经典“六经”和《四书》中的八种都同孔子及其后裔有着密切的关系。孔子虽然述而不作，但是后代子孙们却乐此不疲，从孔子到20世纪前期，孔子子孙中有著作的近三百人，作品有近千种。作品中经史子集全备，经学、史学、文学、数学、医学、天文、地理、音韵、训诂、方志，均有涉及。
