    孟子由人皆有不忍人之心，或叫做恻隐之心，即仁之端，阐释出性善说。推演到政治领域，就是由不忍人之心，行不忍人之政。按孟子的说法为“发政施仁”，或曰“仁政”，或曰“王道”，或曰“王政”。仁政、王政、王道内容相通，都是孟子的政治理想模式。这一模式以贵民、保民、任贤、轻君、尊王贱霸为主要特色。
