    清末民初，实行募兵制，军队直接来县招募新兵，应募者多是失业农民和城镇无
业居民。1936年，实行按地亩多少征学兵、壮丁。地主、富户多雇用他人顶替，称卖
学兵、卖壮丁。买主与卖主签定生死文书，有中人作保。文书内容：双方议明买方付
给顶替者现金若干元或土地若干亩, 顶替者死、伤、病、残买方概不负责，不论服役
时间长短照数付款；顶替者必须改用买方的姓名。顶替者多为生活所迫，不得已而为
之。
