    清代以前，相公庄即为乡、里的首庄。民国时期是区机关驻地。1928年匪首张鸣
九占据章丘城，章丘县政府一度逃亡相公庄，4个月后返回。1945年人民民主政权建
立后，相公庄先后为区、乡、人民公社、镇机关驻地。章丘市(县)政府机关也先后在
庄设立派出机构。
