    1982年初，西关一大队兴办了全区第一家农民投资兴建的百货楼--得月楼百货商
店，吹响了向商业开发进军的号角。1987年12月始，西关一村在中共淄川区委、淄川
区人民政府创建鲁中商城的总体规划中,在区、镇党委和政府的具体指导下，利用西
关这块得天独厚的风水宝地，动员村民拆迁，大力开发第三产业，用六、七年的时间，
改变了西关一村旧的面貌，淄川服装城、东方商厦、华联商厦、中百大厦、东大商厦、
农贸市场等大型商业设施，相继建成开业，商业开发在90年代树起了新的丰碑。
