    根据《临淄区志》记载，春秋战国时代，由齐国都城(临淄)东去的大路穿过淄河，
经过镇内的高家六端、郑家六端、大马岱出境去益都。明清时期，由临淄城东去的大
路穿过淄河，经过石槽、大马岱出境去益都、寿光。这两条大道是古时由临淄城东去
的重要驿道，石槽、大马岱并设有驿站铺。
