    自1950年下半年开始实行婚姻登记，由区公所承办。1955年12月下放到乡办理，
195 8年改为公社管理，1985年7月1日，由乡政府民政助理员具体办理。
    1991年开始设婚姻登记处，并专设婚姻登记员负责具体办理婚姻登记和离婚手续。
1996年婚姻登记由临淄区婚姻登记处具体办理，镇婚姻登记处撤销。
    在婚姻问题上，为打破旧的传统观念，克服重男轻女的思想，可以女娶男，男可
到女方落户。
