    建国前，境内无专门卫生行政机构，医疗医药均属私营。1951年，区成立卫生工
作者协会，负责卫生行政事宜。1956年，成立大联营诊所，兼管卫生行政工作，尹干
卿任所长。1959年建立石横保健站，行使卫生行政管理职能，范家荣任站长。1961年，
石横保健站改为石横卫生院，兼管公社卫生行政工作，陈义长任院长。1976年，卫生
行政工作由公社计划生育办公室兼管。1985年由一名副镇长分管。
