<p class="docx-p">1949 年,全区工业总产值为0.126亿元,仅占工农业总产值的3%,其中 60%以上为个体手工业。1985年末,全区拥有工业企业单位1530个,工业总产值 20. 36 亿元,占工农业总产值的50%,初步形成了具有轻工、纺织、机械、电力、建筑建材、食品、造纸等门类比较齐全的工业体系。主要工业产品有 170 多个,其中内燃机年产18.05万马力,小拖拉机7300台,合成氨2. 67 万吨,棉纱2.37万吨,棉布7000万米,手表78万块,卷烟6.07 万箱,饮料酒 1. 38 万吨。驰名中外的东阿阿胶连续多年荣获国家金质奖。</p>
<p class="docx-p">乡镇企业呈现出方兴未艾的发展趋势,1985年末,全区达到55000余处,总产值完成9亿多元,成为农村经济的重要支柱。</p>
