<p class="docx-p">清末时期,实行募兵制。募兵制兵员条件为年龄限18~25岁,步限每小时行 10 公里以上,身限 4.8尺以上,力大限平举50公斤以上,报明3代家口住址和本人指纹箕斗数目,吸食过洋烟者不要,素不安分犯事者不收,五官不全、体质软弱、有目疾,暗疾者不收。</p>
<p class="docx-p">募兵带有征拔性质。县以下,先由庄(村)长等各带合格乡民凭证,开具名册,偕同应募壮丁,赴选验处所听候点验。合格者注册编伍。受募者绝大部分是为生活所迫的穷人,被募后长期服役。</p>
