    市容环境建市以来，中心城的市容环境卫生工作逐步正规化。至2001年底，中心
城拥有垃圾中转站35个，环卫工人近千名，垃圾清运全部实现机械化。清扫保洁面积
500多万平方米，保洁率100％。垃圾袋装化普及率达98％。1998年，东营市被评为省
级卫生城市。 2001年，投资近亿元开工建设日处理能力为300吨的垃圾处理厂。东城
主要街道已实现无垃圾箱保洁管理。
