    清真寺是穆斯林举行宗教活动的中心场所，亦称礼拜寺。凡有关穆斯林的宗教生活、婚丧礼仪、欢庆节日等，都离不开清真寺。1991年，山东省有清真寺367座。2005年，山东省有清真寺425座。其中，济南市54座、青岛市1座、淄博市9座、枣庄市10座、东营市1座、烟台市1座、潍坊市7座、济宁市25座、泰安市61座、日照市2座、莱芜市2座、德州市121座、滨州市15座、临沂市27座、聊城市43座、菏泽市46座。
