    1987年起，全省各级卫生防疫机构开展城乡饮用水水质监测，指导供水单位落实水质净化和消毒措施，执行水质检验报告制度。1990年，全省建立城市饮用水监测网络。1997年，贯彻《生活饮用水卫生监督管理办法》，卫生部门规范监督程序，提高集中式供水、分散式给水、桶装饮用水、涉水产品监督频率，严格供水单位卫生许可和供水、管水人员健康合格证制度，依法查处违规行为，居民生活用水卫生质量逐步提高。
