    1988—2005年，随着社会对书刊印刷业务需求的不断增加，以印刷技术的发展，印刷设备的更新为基础，山东省书刊印刷产品的产量、质量得到提升。文字排版量、书刊印刷量、彩色印刷量、书刊装订量都实现了翻番甚至数倍增长，特别是彩色印刷产量，因为多色胶印设备的应用，产量增长近10倍。山东省书刊印刷行业发展一直处于全国前列，成为全国重要的书刊印刷品生产基地，同时，在全国诸多印刷质量评比中连续获得奖项。
