    山东省气象局为中国气象局与山东省人民政府双重领导、以中国气象局领导为主的正厅级事业单位，承担全省气象工作的政府行政管理职能，负责全省气象工作的组织管理。全省气象部门实行统一领导，分级管理。2005年，全省共设17个市气象局、105个县（市、区）气象局和泰山、成山头、石岛3个市气象局直属的气象台站；全省共有职工2092人。
