    山东省煤炭企业各选煤厂常用生产工艺为跳汰机粗选、重介旋流器精选、煤泥直接浮选、尾煤压滤。随着市场精煤销售量增大，至2005年，各煤炭企业均采用先进的三产品重介旋流器分选工艺，提高了精煤产率。
    据统计，1991—2005年，山东省统配煤矿重点选煤厂累计生产精煤27347.46万吨。到2005年，山东省7个省管直属煤炭企业有31座生产精煤的选煤厂，年产精煤2656万吨，比1991年的871万吨增加3倍多。
