    邮政基础运输主要依靠汽车邮路、火车邮路和航空邮路进行，辅之以水路邮路。1995年底，全省邮路总条数639条，其中，一级邮路47条，二级邮路106条；单程邮路总长度104721公里，其中，自办汽车邮路38925公里，铁路邮路8250公里，航空邮路51815公里。1999年邮政独立运行以后，省邮政局一方面加大邮路建设投资力度，另一方面对已建成邮路整合改造，邮路得到迅速扩展，邮运网络得到优化和完善。
