    1986—2005年，山东省淡水养殖作为农业产业结构调整的重要内容，成为各地发展养殖业的重点。各市（地）挖塘抬田，养殖面积和产量迅速提高，淡水养殖业进入快速发展时期。其间，为弥补捕捞过度造成的淡水渔业资源短缺，山东省各地水产部门向湖泊、河流、大中型水库进行鱼、蟹人工增殖放流，水域自然种群的资源量显著提升，取得良好的生态效益。
