    1991-2005年，山东省地图制图单位在编制普通地图(册)、专题地图(册)时严格执行《专题地图信息分类与代码》(GB/T18317-2001)、《1∶5001∶10001∶2000地形图图式》(GB/T7929-1995)等制图规范，同时遵照执行图幅的《编辑大纲》或《细则》。20世纪90年代开始，全省制图单位采用地图印前系统，地图编制效率不断提高。
