    省监狱管理局是省司法厅管理的主管全省监狱管理工作的行政机构，担负组织管理全
省监狱的刑罚执行、监管、教育改造罪犯、罪犯从事生产劳动和管理全省监狱警戒设
施、武器与监管技术装备、交通通讯设施及创建现代化文明监狱的任务，对直属单位
的生产财务、基本建设和警察、职工队伍建设等工作进行直接管理。1991-2005年，
山东省省级监狱管理部门职能及其内设机构、直属机构不断调整，队伍素质不断提高
