  1937年11月中旬，两路日军兵临黄河北岸，对国民党山东省政府主席韩复榘实行逼降。韩复榘率10万大军弃城南逃。12月27日，日军占领济南。图为韩复榘撤逃前炸毁的济南黄河铁路大桥。

  1938年1月，韩复榘被蒋介石诱捕后处以死刑，山东省政府主席空缺。于学忠向蒋介石推荐沈鸿烈任山东省政府主席。1938年1月24日，沈鸿烈上任，开始了他在山东的4年主政。图为韩复榘。
