入伍，1969年11月加入中国共产党，大学文化。
    1969年2月至1979年3月在某步兵师历任战士、文书、班长、排长、参谋、代连长；
1979年4月至1985年5月在济南军区司令部历任参谋、 副处长；1985年6月至1993年11月
在济南军区某防化团任团长；1993年12月任莱芜军分区筹建办公室副主任；199 4年1月
任莱芜军分区参谋长；1999年8月任莱芜军分区司令员。
