【蚕茧经营】  2004年，全市蚕茧生产遭受了春季干旱、夏秋季高温阴雨等自然灾害。
为把蚕农的损失降到最低程度， 市丝绸公司以高于省政府定价的20%收购蚕茧，稳定
了广大蚕农的情绪。 全市全年共发放蚕种14777.5张，收购鲜茧495058.8公斤。

【制丝工业】  山东银河丝业有限责任公司加强企业内部改革，实行租赁经营，
年内妥善安置职工217人。 全年生产白厂丝137吨，平均达到4A级以上，上缴税金141
万元。

【蚕种生产】   莱芜蚕种场利用现有资源，年内妥善安置职工81人。全年生产蚕种6
万张，各项质量指标均达到省规定标准。
