　　镇党委书记袁学恩，镇长姚洪丽。镇政府驻大岚头村，辖21个行政村，人口1
.44万人，面积47.9平方公里，其中耕地1533公顷。1998年全镇农村经济总收入7.2
亿元，农民人均纯收入3498元。中学1所、小学6所，在校学生2078人。该镇位于荣
成市最北端，北临黄海，海岸线长12公里，自然资源十分丰富，石英砂总储量1亿
多立方米，品位好，二氧化硅含量高达94％，是中国北方最大的石英砂基地。拥有
外商独资企业19家，被誉为“外商企业独资镇”。
