　　为正确实施《刑事诉讼法》、《律师法》等法律法规，威海市机构编制委员会
以威编［1997］99号文《关于成立威海市法律援助中心的批复》，批准成立威海市
法律援助中心。该中心是市司法局所属全额预算管理科级单位。主要职责是，按照
《律师法》和《法律援助试行条例》等法律法规的规定，为符合条件的受援助人提
供刑事、经济、民事等法律服务，维护其合法权益，落实法律面前人人平等的原则。
