　　1987年以来，随着对外开放的不断深入，威海旅游涉外饭店发展迅猛。至1997
年全市有旅游涉外饭店59家，建筑面积达55万平方米，客房4357间，床位8746张，
星级饭店总数达到20家，其中四星级1家，三星级11家，二星级8家。全市旅游涉外
饭店职工人数5772人，接待国内游客45.4万人次，接待海外游客2.58万人次，营业
收入3.4亿元。各旅游涉外饭店在加强硬件建设的同时，不断加强对国家已颁布的
各项服务质量标准和行业标准的贯彻执行。全市星级饭店复核合格率达到95％，居
全省前列。
