    移动通信GSM六期工程，由省里统一签订合同，在潍坊市建设125个数字基站，
扩容751个载频，新增加19.6万户的用户容量，于1999年4月份开通。六期工程开
通后， 全市数字移动通信基站达到241个，载频达到1175个，交换机容量达到30
万门，加上模拟交换机容量总计达到37.5万门，全市城乡移动通信网络基本实现
无缝覆盖， 到年底， 已与包括北美在内的49个国家和地区的80家运营公司开通
GSM国际漫游业务。
