    1996年“三八”节期间，高密市高密镇永安村32岁的植棉大户邓秀梅作为山
东省唯一的代表，赴京参加了全国妇联组织的“今日农家女”报告团，与报告团
的其他7名团员在京巡回演讲， 并受到了胡锦涛、吴邦国、姜春云、陈慕华等党
和国家领导人的亲切接见。她本人也被授予全国“三八红旗手”荣誉称号。
