    1996年，山东省举行第十一次社会科学优秀成果评奖活动。市社科联向各学
会和市直有关单位发了通知，组织申报参评成果。市学术委员会经过认真初评，
从申报的50多项成果中筛选出4项推荐到省里， 经省评委会评选，潍坊市有两项
成果获奖。中共潍坊市委副书记、市长王大海撰写的论文《经济越发展越要保护
和扶持农业》获二等奖，潍坊市地方史志编纂委员会编纂的《潍坊市志》 (上、
下卷)获三等奖。
