    1996年，市气象部门继续坚持为国民经济各行各业服务的指导方针，准确及
时地开展服务。圆满完成了第十三届潍坊国际风筝会和第三届鲁台经贸洽谈会的
气象服务工作，被市委、市政府评为先进单位。麦收期间, 市、县气象部门及时
提供天气预报，为各级党委、政府指挥生产当好参谋。在汛期，全市气象部门以
高度负责的精神，认真监视天气变化，准确预报了几次大的降雨过程，保证了全
市安全渡汛。
