    为纪念7.28唐山地震20周年,唤醒民众的防震减灾意识,市地震局会同有关部
门组织了大规模的集中宣传、纪念活动。报纸、电台、电视台等新闻单位积极参
与, 各区在主要街道组织了颇具声势的街头宣传。市委、市政府、市人大、市政
协等有关领导走上街头，加入了宣传行列，副市长徐鉴当天作了纪念唐山地震20
周年电视讲话。集中宣传活动持续了一周。这次活动对进一步提高民众防震减灾
参与意识和自我保护意识起到了积极作用。
