    1996年, 市级学会共举办各种形式的学术交流117次,参加人数1.5万人,交流
论文5783篇; 组织学术考察124次,参加人数1084人,其中国外考察14次,参加人数
43人。市珠算协会承办了首届世界珠算大会；市农学会配合中国农学会，在诸城
市开展了中国农业产业化研讨会， 来自全国各地的200余名代表参加了会议；市
图书馆学会图商结合、文企联姻，举办了“万邦杯”优秀读者评选活动，共有21
名优秀读者受到了表彰奖励。市医学会、蚕学会、中医药学会、护理学会也举办
了一些层次较高的学术会议，促进了科技与经济的紧密结合。
