    1996年5月22日，市区同心桥(原民主桥)改建工程奠基。该桥设计为7孔各11
米跨度的简易预应力混凝土板桥。 桥面长124.08米、宽19米，总投资550万元。
由潍坊柴油机有限责任公司出资建设，该公司享有冠名权和广告经营权。这是继
市区亚星桥拓宽改造竣工后，市区通过出让市政设施冠名权和广告使用权，利用
社会资金进行城市基础设施建设的又一举措。
