    青临铁路北起青州火车站、南至临朐冶源站场，正线全长36.4公里，建设标
准为一级地方铁路， 是市委、市政府确定的重点建设项目。该项目于1993年6月
开工兴建，到1996年12月底完成投资1.26亿元，完成总长45公里的铺轨任务。累
计完成路基土方98万方， 大中小桥涵160座。该路的建成，使全市地方铁路达到
135公里，完善了公、铁、水、空综合运输体系硬环境，将为加快西部山区开发、
做好农村“三篇文章”(农业产业化、乡镇企业、小城镇建设)、加快城乡一体化
建设进程、加速山区人民脱贫致富提供重要的交通保障。
