    1996年市级机构改革中，中共潍坊市委以〔1996〕33号文件批准市黄金工业
公司更名为市黄金宝石工业公司，由副县级升格为正县级。市政府授权市黄金宝
石工业公司对全市黄金宝石工业系统行使行政管理职能。这是潍坊历史上首次组
建的市级宝石工业主管部门。更名后的潍坊市黄金宝石工业公司于1996年10月正
式对外挂牌办公。
