    高密、诸城两市为潍坊市产粮大县(市)，农作物秸秆资源丰富，养牛业发展
较快，先后被农业部列为国家级秸秆养牛示范县。1996年，两市共引进饲养良种
肉用种公牛9头，建立肉牛冻精配种改良站(点)55处，购置液氮灌120多个，年改
良配种母牛20万头。 两市建立青贮氨化窖25.2万个、约167万立方米，年青贮玉
米秸84万吨、 氨化秸41万吨，可饲养牛33万头。到年底，两市共存栏牛54.41万
头、出栏肉牛22.66万头，牛的数量、质量都有了大幅度提高。
