    1996年，酵素菌在养殖业上的应用收到了较好成效。到年底，全市共建立酵
素菌生产厂77个，年生产6138吨。酵素菌添加剂喂猪55.26万头，占存养量的18%；
喂蛋鸡1030万只，占存养量的23%；喂肉鸡1680万只，占存养量的19%。喂酵素菌
添加剂，不仅节约饲料成本，促进生长，增加畜产品产量和质量，还能预防和减
少畜禽肠道疾病的发生。根据试验测定，用酵素菌饲养畜禽，节约的饲料成本、
增加的产品效益和减少的医药费合计猪105元/头、蛋鸡8.2元/只、肉鸡0.7元/只。
