    1997年,城市社区服务工作有新进展。通过到上海等地参观学习，推广潍城区
经验，组织开展争创全省、全国社区服务示范城区活动，狠抓《潍坊市社区服务五
年发展规划》的落实，带动和促进了社区服务工作的发展。全市已建立各类社区服
务组织2600多个，专职服务人员2万多人，建立各种便民服务网点1900多个。潍城
区被评为全省社区服务示范城区，并被省推荐为全国示范城区，接受了民政部的验
收。全市有5个基层单位和6名个人被表彰为全省社区服务先进单位和先进个人。
