    1997年11月26日，坊子电厂撤销建制、停产分流。该厂建于1942年，是当时
山东省第二大发电厂，随着增容扩建，该厂成为潍坊电网的依托。1975年潍坊电
网并入山东电网后，坊子电厂仍发挥着地方电厂功能，同时还承担山东电网调频
的任务。改革开放以来，小机组高损耗已不符合能源政策的要求，故从整个山东
电力工业发展的大局和集团化发展的战略来考虑，撤销坊子电厂编制。
