    根据修改后的《刑事诉讼法》规定和上级有关通知精神，税务检察工作不再
由检察机关管辖，全市税务检察机构于1997年11月18日撤销。税务检察室成立于
1988年，主要职能是查处偷税、抗税、骗税、虚开增值税发票等犯罪行为，并协
助税务机关做好税收工作。全市税务检察室成立近十年来，认真履行检察职责，
共受理税案4806件，立案908件，移送起诉223件，为国家挽回税款7984万元；查
处抗税案93件，立案18件；协查增值税专用发票453份，涉及金额729万元。
