    1993年全市辖张店、淄川、博山、临淄、周村5区和桓台、高青、沂源3县，总面积为5938平方公里。
    年内经省政府批复，淄川区双沟乡、二里乡、磁村乡、查王乡、黄家铺乡和周村区高塘乡、大姜乡分别改建为
双沟镇、二里镇、磁村镇、查王镇、黄家铺镇和高塘镇、大姜镇。张店区沣水镇将高炳村民委员会分设为东高、西
高、梁鲁三个村民委员会。淄川区黑旺镇将西坡村民委员会改建为西坡居民委员会。临淄区辛店镇增设了遄台、稷
下北、 稷下南、稷下东、稷下高层、闻韶、闻韶高层、雪宫8个居民委员会，将安乐店村民委员会分设为安乐店和
寨子两个村民委员会。至年底，全市共设70个镇、47个乡、9个街道办事处、274个居委会、3321个村委会。
