2020年，市委巡察办不断加强干部队伍建设，创新“5+2+N”组队方式，有效解决巡察队伍稳定性差、借调人员轮换频繁、素质难以保证等问题。1月，市委巡察工作领导小组出台《关于选派优秀年轻干部到巡察机构挂职锻炼的实施办法》，市委巡察办联合市委组织部，每年选派部分优秀年轻干部到市委巡察机构挂职锻炼，2020年选派的第一批11名年轻干部在年度巡察工作中均发挥了骨干作用。
