2020年，市委巡察工作领导小组深入贯彻落实中央决策部署和省、市委工作要求，坚守巡察政治监督的基本定位，紧紧把握高质量发展的目标要求，巡察监督质量不断提升。全年完成市委第九至十一轮巡察，启动第十二轮巡察，共巡察或巡察“回头看”单位78个，市级巡察覆盖率达93.6%；全市3077个村级党组织完成巡察全覆盖。2020年，创新探索了“巡系统、系统巡”巡察新模式，首次开展了“市级统筹、区县组队、提级交叉、上下联动”的市县联动方法，有效提高了巡察质效。2020年，省委巡视办9次在《山东巡视巡察》刊登淄博市有关工作情况；10月，《强化协作配合 发挥纽带作用 推动形成协调高效的工作格局》的经验材料在中纪委内网刊发。
