    该馆位于高科技工业园王家麦岛村南侧, 占地3.92公顷,建筑面积7000多平方米,
绿化面积1.5万平方米。1994年5月开工建设,1995年6月建成, 建有室内、室外两个海
豚表演场,总投资4500万元。1995年6月15日,接收日本国下关市赠送的两头雌性艺豚。
1995年7月28日该馆正式
对外开放。
