    1994年，全市共完成公路建设投资7.2亿元，新建和扩建公路近200公里，改建大
中桥梁21座， 铺筑油路180多公里，全市公路通车总里程突破3000公里。连接济青高
速公路和环胶州湾一级汽车专用路的济环一级公路于1994年5月28日建成通车；全长8
公里的西元庄至流亭高架路工程于1994年10月30日破土动工；环胶州湾公路工程建设
已完成工程总概算的90%以上，其中女姑山特大跨海桥完成工程总量80%以上，为1995
年全线建成通车打下了坚实的基础。
