    随着城乡居民消费过热空气的降温，由过去“购物保值”而转向“储蓄保值”，
使城乡储蓄存款创历史最高水平。1989年末，城乡居民储蓄存款余额达到48.2亿元，
比上年增加11.5亿元，增长23.9%。其中城镇34.4亿元，增长25.3%；农村13.8亿元，
增长20.5%；城乡居民人均储蓄余额738元，比上年增加170元，增长29.9%。
