    1989年青岛市共辖7个区（市南、市北、台东、四方、沧口、黄岛、崂山）；3个
市（胶州市[县级] 、即墨市[县级]、平度市[县级]）；2个县（胶南、莱西）。共辖
设街道办事处64个（青岛市区60个，胶州市4个），镇68个，乡88个。1989年7月27日，
经国务院批准， 民政部批复： 撤销平度县、即墨县，设立平度市（县级）、即墨市
（县级）。
